What strange times we’re living. For decades, Pittsburgh Penguins fans would frustrate players or amuse others with a popular refrain on the power play. From Sergei Zubov to Sergei Gonchar to Kris Letang at the point, the echoes have been the same.

“Shoooot!!”

With no small irony, without fans in the arena to do the shouting, Penguins players and coaches are yelling to each other that similar and annoying refrain.

“Shoooot!!”

And that’s only the start of the woes for the Pittsburgh Penguins’ power-play, which is now clicking at 13.5% (5 for 37) after their 3-1 loss against the New York Rangers on Monday Night at Madison Square Garden.
