Alex Nedeljkovic, Pittsburgh Penguins wearing Cleveland Browns jersey

Alex Nedeljkovic delivered an unambiguous statement — that he is a devoted Cleveland Browns fan — by wearing a Myles Garrett jersey when he met with reporters after the Pittsburgh Penguins’ 3-0 victory over Vegas Sunday evening at PPG Paints Arena.

Nedeljkovic had made an equally emphatic one with his performance against the Golden Knights, as he rejected all 38 shots he faced just hours after being activated from the Long-Term Injured list.

His work against Vegas made it obvious that he was over the effects of the unspecified injury that had forced him out of the major-league lineup for 10 games and 24 days.

“He was our best player,” center Lars Eller said.

And much as he enjoyed the Browns’ victory over the Steelers earlier in the day, Nedeljkovic made it clear which game mattered most to him.
