Pittsburgh Penguins Wives & Girlfriends Raise over $59,000 for Charity

The Pittsburgh Penguins wives and girlfriends published a cookbook and held auctions this season to benefit local non-profit organizations. The Lady Pens results are impressive.

The Penguins WAGS raised $59,000 and donated the money to six area charities and non-profits.

The “Lady Pens,” wives and girlfriends of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have donated more than $59,000 to six non-profit organizations in the Pittsburgh region.

Funds were raised through auctions held by the Lady Pens, and from sales of their “Welcome to Our Table” cookbook.

Donations were made to the following organizations:

  • Christopher’s Kitchen
  • Blessings in a Backpack
  • Beverly’s Birthdays
  • National Aviary
  • Pennies from Heaven
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania

The Lady Pens issued the following statement: “We love this city and its people. In these unprecedented times, we hope our donations assist in fulfilling needs in our community. We are proud to be Pittsburghers and wish safety and health to everyone in the Pittsburgh region.
