How would you grade the Pittsburgh Penguins free agent signings, low risk, potentially high reward, or disappointing? Pittsburgh Hockey Now Editor-in-Chief Dan Kingerski joined 93-7 host Paul Zeise on Friday night to break down the first day of NHL free agency and the Penguins newest acquisitions.

Dan, a long-time radio host himself, spared the sharp opinions and unloaded a few surprising stats and facts about the newest Penguins acquisitions, Evan Rodrigues and center Mark Jankowski. The Penguins signed both players to one-year, $700,000 deals.

Jankowski had only seven points last season (5g, 2a) and Dan went further into the scouting reports and Jankowski’s play last season. Dan also explained why the Pittsburgh Penguins brought back Rodrigues and the two games which could have been a defining moment until the pandemic pause.

Zeise also asked Dan what comes next.
