Steelers-Jets Betting Preview; DraftKings Promo Gives $200
For the first time this season, it will be more about the Steelers opponent’s quarterback rather than their own when Pittsburgh hosts the New York Jets at 1 p.m. Sunday at Heinz Field. And this week’s DraftKings promo is a good boost for bettors.

The spotlight will be on the Jets’ Zach Wilson, who sustained a knee injury in the preseason that required surgery. He will make his season debut after missing the first three games while Joe Flacco led the Jets to a 1-2 record.

CLAIM OFFERWilson was the second overall pick in last year’s NFL Draft.
The Steelers are also 1-2 with new quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who was signed as a free agent in the offseason to replace the retired Ben Roethlisberger. Much to the fans’ consternation, Trubisky will get the start again rather than first-round draft pick Kenny Pickett for a team that is 31st in the NFL in total offense.
The Steelers have lost two games in a row, including falling 29-17 to the Browns in Cleveland last week on Thursday Night Football. The Jets are coming off a 27-12 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals at home.

Pittsburgh Steelers Preview
Coach Mike Tomlin says he has no intention of benching Trubisky even though the Steelers are averaging just 272.7 yards a game. That ranks ahead of only the Chicago Bears (265.0).
The Steelers are 19th in scoring offense at 18.0 points a game.
Last week, the Steelers did have a season-high 309 yards against the Browns. Trubisky was OK, going 20 of 32 for 207 yards and no interceptions but he also did not have any touchdown passes.
Najee Harris again failed to get untracked. He had 56 yards rushing and a TD on 15 carries but just 5 receiving yards on three catches.
The Jets are a middle-of-the-pack defense as they are 15th in the league in total yards allowed. Perhaps the Steelers can take advantage of New York’s inability to get off the field, though.
Opponents have converted 20 of 39 third-down plays against the Jets for first downs. The 51.3% rate is 31st in the NFL.

GET THE APPSeven of the 10 touchdowns the Jets have given up this year have come on third down, including all three by the Bengals last week.
Wilson was just 3-11 as a starter last season as a rookie. The Jets are likely to ease him back into action by attacking on the ground against a Steelers run defense that is No. 28 in the league.
The Steelers are hoping that moving tackle Montravius Adams into their starting lineup in place of Tyson Alualu might sure-up the run defense.
The Jets have two talented young running backs in second-year-pro Michael Carter and rookie Breece Hall. Neither has put up impressive numbers this season – Carter has 122 yards rushing and Hall 112 – but that could change against the Steelers.
Pittsburgh Steelers Prediction
The Steelers have won eight straight games after playing on Thursday nights. They are also 10-1 all-time against the Jets in Pittsburgh.
It is hard to buck those two trends. However, nothing has come easy for the Steelers so far this season and it’s hard to expect that to change anytime soon.
