Montreal Special For Letang, Penguins’ Seulement French-Canadian (PHN+)
Kris Letang could probably serve as a tour guide when the Pittsburgh Penguins head to Montreal, except that it is such a popular road stop for NHL players that most of his teammates probably already have a favorite restaurant or area to hang out.
Letang and the boys got a chance for that Friday night after the Penguins flew to the large French-Canadian mecca Friday afternoon ahead of their game Saturday night against the Canadiens.
“It’s always fun. I get to see my family, friends, play in a building where I grew up watching (the Canadiens). It’s always special for me,” Letang, a Montreal native, said before he headed to the plane.
“I always go home. I don’t live too far away outside (the city core). I get to see the family.”
