Pittsburgh Penguins postgame with Dan Kingerski

PITTSBURGH — It seemed easy. The Pittsburgh Penguins got off to a good start and cruised to a 6-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs at PPG Paints Arena on Saturday. Bryan Rust and Dominik Kahun each had three points, and Evgeni Malkin was one of three Penguins with two points.

PHN Editor-in-Chief Dan Kingerski broke down the Penguins win, including the high points, the solid performances and how the Penguins dismantled Toronto. Dan also discussed the locker room comments from players such as Rust and goalie Tristan Jarry.

Jarry stopped 31 of 32 shots for his second win of the season.

Toronto lost their fifth straight and Dan also had some interesting observations about Toronto’s play and lack of motivation.
