Tanev Confident Hits Will Keep Coming Despite Crazy Schedule | PHN+

NHL trade rumors, Brandon Tanev, Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers

Between an already condensed schedule this shortened NHL season and a handful of makeup dates from games that were postponed, the Pittsburgh Penguins’ calendar for March and April almost looks like it belongs to a baseball team.

Penguins winger Brandon Tanev, perhaps surprisingly, doesn’t see that busy schedule in black and blue.

Tanev not only brings a lot of energy and speed to the Penguins lineup, but he is also one of their most physical players. Going into Saturday’s games, he ranks first on the team and fourth in the league with 61 hits in 12 games – three games fewer than the four players with more hits.
