Breaking: Round 2–Pens v Flyers, Battle of Pennsylvania

The Battle of Pennsylvania. The NHL has announced a rematch: Penguins vs. Flyers in the Coors Light Stadium Series.

Round 2 will take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, February 23, 2019.

The Penguins won Round 1, last year at Heinz Field, 4-2.

NHL.com made the announcement, Sunday night. Two days after the NHL announced the 2019 Outdoor Classic would also be a rematch, Chicago vs. Boston at Notre Dame.

“It’s always a special opportunity to take the game back to its roots and have NHL players skate outdoors,” Pittsburgh Penguins President and CEO, David Morehouse told NHL.com. “We competed against the Flyers outdoors at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh 2017 and look forward to completing the in-state ‘home-and-home’ series at Lincoln Financial Field in 2019. It should be a great atmosphere.”

According to NHL.com–the game will be broadcast on NBC. Additional details on the 2019 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ including ticket information, special events will be released at a later date.
