500 Reasons To Appreciate Penguins Defenseman Letang

It seems as if it might have slipped by unnoticed, or at least underappreciated, but the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Kris Letang reached 500 career points over the weekend. Actually, 501, too. For a defenseman, that’s a significant milestone.

It wasn’t lost on him.

“It’s pretty surreal,” Letang said in a one-on-one interview with PHN. “Growing up you don’t really think about that. You just think about maybe one day being an NHL player. So to get to that point, it’s pretty amazing. At the same time, I got pretty lucky to have the chance to play with so many good players.”
