Letang Thrilled Crosby Signed, Suggests Buddy Could ‘Play Until 50’?! (+)

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby visited his fellow team core player Kris Letang over the summer. They talked about a lot of things, but not about Crosby’s contract status.

That could have been because Letang never expected Crosby to go elsewhere. Or because Letang can envision Crosby playing a lot longer. A lot longer.

Crosby on Monday signed a two-year contract that kicks in next July, taking him until the cusp of his 40^th birthday. Letang is of the mind that it will probably not be his captain’s final contract.
