The NHL trade chatter became reality, one move begot several and big names were on the move by mid-afternoon. Ryan Johansen is headed to Colorado, while the Flyers and Blues are working on a blockbuster.  The Pittsburgh Penguins didn’t join the fray, but Kyle Dubas laid out the Penguins’ strategy, which includes scouring the trade market for players being squeezed out by salary cap constraints, and it sounds like things are back on track with Jordan Staal and the Carolina Hurricanes.

I’ve got nothing cute to add today. The threat of rain kept the motorcycle covered, and when I took a walk, the city was empty. Seriously, where are your yinz? It’s kind of a depressing, empty place.
