Pittsburgh Penguins free agents, Mark Jankowski

As part of the National Hockey Now network, Pittsburgh Hockey Now has gained access to several new information and hockey analysis sources. As part of PHN’s continuing analysis of the Pittsburgh Penguins offseason moves, we reached out to multiple sources about the Penguins free agent signings.

Specifically, we asked what professional eyes saw in presumed Penguins third line center Mark Jankowski, who signed a one-year, $700,000 contract on the first day of NHL free agency, Oct. 9.

Last season, Jankowski, 26, slumped to only seven points with five goals. He was a healthy scratch for five of the Calgary Flames 10 postseason games.
