NHL Season, Pittsburgh Penguins Practice Facility UPMC Lemieux Complex

(PHN) — The Pittsburgh Penguins annual equipment sale, which will feature new and used sticks, gloves and helmets, pants and goalie equipment, is set for Aug. 19 at the UPMC Lemieux Complex in Cranberry Township. The sale hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is an annual collectors dream because it includes player worn equipment.

Team apparel direct from the Penguins locker room is also included.

The season ticket holder’s preview is the day before the public sale, Aug. 18, also from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For preview admission, season ticket holders must print the email notification or show it on their phone. The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex address is 8000 Cranberry Springs Drive.

The team is accepting cash and credit cards (and no, we don’t yet know how much Sidney Crosby’s mitts will cost. But we’re curious, too).

The Penguins will participate in the annual rookie tournament in Buffalo, Sept. 6-10. The regular season begins Oct. 4, when the Penguins host the Washington Capitals, the defending Stanley Cup champions.
