PITTSBURGH — Phil Kessel held another media scrum after the Pittsburgh Penguins practice, Monday. As usual, Kessel was Kessel. Short and to the point.

Kessel, 31, had a career year last season with 92 points (34g, 58a), which included 50 power-play points. Kessel will again anchor the Penguins power-play this season from the half-wall. Today, he talked about his speech in Washington D.C. as a cancer survivor and the Penguins power play. Also in the wake of another Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson cheap shot and likely suspension, Kessel spoke to the larger issue of headshots in the game and if there are fewer cheap shots in the NHL.
