It’s never easy to say goodbye and Pittsburgh Penguins fans are coming to grips with the trade of their every-man hero who carries the physique of a nachos eating, pop drinking, gifted hockey player.

Phil Kessel is one of a kind. I told you on July 1, 2015 that you’d love him. You argued. I told you that he would make the Penguins Stanley Cup contenders. You argued.

However, for the past couple of summers, we’ve again found ourselves on opposite sides of the fence. There was a lot of baggage stacking up in the Penguins locker room and the team had to do something. Somethings we couldn’t report, some things we did with subtle hints and others we outright made it a headline.
