PHN Extra: Kessel or Letang, and the Penguins Need for Change

Sometimes the path of the tornado is unpredictable. The Pittsburgh Penguins are intent on shaking up their roster which nearly imploded but certainly shrank from the New York Islanders in Round One over two months ago. Penguins GM Jim Rutherford is justified in pushing for a shakeup. Something must change.

Earlier Friday, we reported he Monreal Canadiens made a serious inquiry about Penguins defenseman Kris Letang.

But that tornado is taking an unexpected turn. Turning away from Phil Kessel it is now headed towards Letang, whose season was just short of spectacular and he finished sixth in Norris trophy voting.
