Penguins Add as ‘Bold Penguin’ As Helmet Sponsor
The Pittsburgh Penguins made a bold move today, pun completely intended as the team has partnered with ‘Bold Penguin’ as a helmet sponsor for the home 2021-22 season. Bold Penguin is a Columbus-based insurance technology agency that helps small businesses in the “Bold Penguin Exchange.”
It fits, doesn’t it?
We’re going to look pretty ‘bold’ on the ice this season! 🐧
The @bold_penguin logo will be featured on the players’ black helmets for the 2021.22 season, and @PPG will be featured once again on the players’ white helmets.

The Bold Penguin logo will fill the Penguins’ black helmets for all home games in the 2021-22 NHL season. PPG, who partnered with the Penguins last season as a helmet sponsor, will be on the white away helmets this season.
“Like the Pittsburgh Penguins, Bold Penguin is not only fast and efficient but driven by shared values and a culture of winning. At Bold Penguin, our team is our product and that’s seen through and through with the Pittsburgh Penguins as well,” said Ilya Bodner, Founder, and CEO of Bold Penguin.
This news of another helmet advertisement comes exactly two months after Greg Wyshynski of ESPN reported that the NHL will have jersey advertisements starting in the 2022-23 NHL season.
“We are proud to add Bold Penguin to our team as a partner. There is no better way to introduce them to our market and show our pride than by adding their logo to our helmets,” said Penguins president and CEO David Morehouse.
Yesterday during the NHL media day, the league announced the flat salary cap is expected to rise by $1 million next season as revenues continue to rise league-wide.
