Pittsburgh Hockey Now confirmed the news, the Pittsburgh Penguins radio team of Josh Getzoff and Phil Bourque have tested positive for COVID and will not call Game 4.

The news was first tweeted by Mercer County radio host Bob Greenburg

The Penguins will turn to familiar voices Paul Steigerwald and Colby Armstrong for the radio broadcast.

The Penguins lead the Round One best-of-seven series against the New York Rangers, 2-1. On Saturday, the Penguins raced to a 4-1 lead, then gave it away in the second period before pulling away in a 7-4 win. Evan Rodrigues and Mike Matheson each had three points. Rodrigues had two goals.

Steigerwald served as the radio voice of the Penguins from 1999 to 2006 before moving to TV play-by-play.

Armstrong was the Penguins’ 2001 first-round draft pick. After three seasons with the WBS Penguins, Armstrong scored 40 points (16-24-40) as a rookie, playing beside fellow rookie Sidney Crosby. The Penguins traded Armstrong as part of their acquisition of Marian Hossa in 2008. Armstrong scored 22 goals in 2008-09 with the Atlanta Thrashers. He is a frequent analyst on the Penguins’ television broadcasts.

The radio call will be on the Pittsburgh Penguins’ flagship radio station and network, 105.9 the X. The game can be seen on the national broadcast partners and locally on AT&T Sportsnet.
