Rodrigues is Worth Keeping, But at What Cost? (+)

Evan Rodrigues showed up on the Pittsburgh Penguins’ top two lines occasionally during the 2021-22 season. He scored seven times during one six-game stretch and was used on both special teams.
Then again, under normal circumstances, he is a bottom-six guy on a good team, got just one goal during another span of 22 games and took a most costly penalty during the Penguins’ opening-round playoff series against the New York Rangers.
All of which is to suggest that, like nearly every other player, Rodrigues had high and low points in his season.
But there were more of the former than the latter, and Rodrigues seems as if he would have a place on the Penguins’ 2022-23 roster.
Assuming he wants to return.
