You’re Up Evan Rodrigues; Juggling Penguins Lines w/o Carter & Crosby (+)

Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby, Evan Rodrigues

You’re up, Evan Rodrigues. The injury bug that has systematically taken out Pittsburgh Penguins centers like John Wick moving through a stream of bad guys has now claimed the top three centers, put the Penguins lines into flux, and a trio of natural wingers to the middle of the lineup.

It’s only with a little bit of irony that we note Los Angeles moved Jeff Carter to RW before the Penguins acquired him at the NHL trade deadline in 2021.

Sidney Crosby didn’t skate for the second day in a row, and head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed he is out for Saturday.

Instead, the Penguins have three players who they moved to center out of necessity. As of writing, the team has not yet made a call-up. If one is made, Radim Zohorna or Michael Chaput is likely to get the call-up from the WBS Penguins.
