Penguins Postgame Q&A: Who to Blame

Published

on

PHILADELPHIA — Another performance replete with inexplicable mistakes and a power play so bad that it defied description but certainly benefitted the opponent far more than the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Philadelphia Flyers had a few shorthanded breakaways and eventually beat the Penguins 2-1 in overtime at the Wells Fargo Center on Monday.

The Q section of the Q&A was more about calling for a coach’s job or president of hockey operations/GM Kyle Dubas to make changes than it was about questions regarding the game’s nuances.

Penguins fans are not happy.

Sidney Crosby scored his 15th goal in 24 games, and Penguins goalie Alex Nedeljkovic was sensational, but it wasn’t enough. The Penguins missed a chance to catch the Flyers in the standings. With the win, the Flyers vaulted to third in the Metro Division.

PHN’s Dan Kingerski did his best to break down the game, though even he was left speechless by a couple of the issues. The Penguins are getting to a critical junction. Fans were certainly not happy, and one of the more gentle questions asked, “Will someone lose their job?”
