Penguins Postgame: Horrible Collapse, Angry Fans, and What-Ifs?

DENVER — There were nearly as many Pittsburgh Penguins fans at Ball Arena Sunday as there were Colorado Avalanche fans. However, the Penguins did not treat their traveling faithful to an unforgettable game in any positive way. Instead, the Penguins ushered their worst defensive collapse of the already nightmarish season, giving up a four-goal lead in the final 24 minutes.

The Avalanche beat the Penguins 5-4 in overtime.

Once Colorado scored their first goal with under four minutes remaining in the second period, they overran the Penguins. Pittsburgh Hockey Now’s Dan Kingerski finished his coverage from Ball Arena with another postgame conversation, taking questions from fans and national radio hosts.
