Dan’s Daily: Canadiens Trade Petry; Penguins Risk Exposure?

Published

on

Pittsburgh Penguins, Sidney Crosby, Jeff Petry, Montreal Canadiens trade

The Montreal Canadiens fulfilled a promise made to defenseman Jeff Petry. To get the Erik Karlsson trade done, the Pittsburgh Penguins traded Petry to Montreal, and Canadiens GM Kent Hughes admitted Tuesday that he promised to trade Petry quickly. Now, Petry is headed home. I have a few unpopular Penguins opinions, but there’s also one spot no one is talking about that is a significant risk. Who will play beside Connor Bedard, and the Hurricanes are sticking in Raleigh for a long time to come.

Today is the first day of my short vacation, and I should get some good pictures. No, I’m not taking any time off, but I’m heading north, trekking to the bottom of a canyon, maybe some whitewater rafting, taking advantage of the new moon to finally see the Milky Way at the observatory hill in Cherry Springs State Park, and perhaps treat myself to some old fashioned Pizza Hut with the checkered table cloths and a big red cup of Pepsi.

Perhaps I’ll make myself a Book-It certificate for a free personal pizza?
