Does ‘Special Group Of Guys’ Translate To Cup Potential? | PHN+

Teams that win the Stanley Cup form a lasting bond, but what about the weeks and months leading up to a long, successful playoff run? Are there signs to be gleaned that a team has something special going on – and have the Pittsburgh Penguins picked up on anything like that?

PHN put it to a few of them Friday. Reading between the lines, and even reading the actual lines, it seems as if the Penguins are feeling good about their game and what could be called the glue factor.

“As far as in the (locker) room, we have a great group of guys,” said veteran defenseman Kris Letang, whose Penguins career spans three Stanley Cup titles.
