The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to keep their faint playoff hopes – and Ben Roethlisberger’s career – alive when they visit the Baltimore Ravens in the regular-season finale at 1 p.m. Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium. After the emotional win over Cleveland in Week 17, the Steelers betting is everywhere. Opportunity exists if you know where to look, and if you’re wrong the Barstool Sportsbook promo code will ease the sting.
The Steelers (8-7-1) must win and get help to reach the postseason. They need the heavily favored Indianapolis Colts to lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars and the game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders to not end in a tie.
Roethlisberger is likely to retire at the end of the season. The 39-year-old quarterback, who is wrapping up his team-record 18th season with the Steelers, received a fond farewell from the Heinz Field crowd Monday night following a 26-14 victory over the Cleveland Browns.
Despite being on a five-game losing streak, the Ravens (8-8) have a slim chance of qualifying for the playoffs if they win. They would also need the Colts and Chargers to both lose and the Miami Dolphins to lose or tie against the New England Patriots.
The Steelers will try to sweep the season series from the Ravens for a second year in a row. On Dec. 5 at Heinz Field, the Steelers escaped with a 20-19 victory when Baltimore misfired on what would have been a winning two-point conversion pass with 12 seconds left.
Roethlisberger completed 21 of 31 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.

Lost in the all the Big Ben mania Monday night was Roethlisberger playing poorly. He completed just 24 of 46 passes for 123 yards, giving him a paltry average of 2.7 yards an attempt.
However, the Steelers still found a way to win in large part because their 190 yards rushing was their highest total on the ground since 2017. Rookie running back Najee Harris had a career-best 188 yards on 28 carries.
The Steelers will likely have a harder time running the ball against the Ravens, who lead the NFL in rushing defense.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is expected to miss his fourth straight game with an ankle injury. In last month’s meeting with the Steelers, 2019 NFL MVP passed for 253 yards and a TD with one interception.

Tyler Huntley is likely to again start in Jackson’s place. In last week’s 20-19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the second-year pro was 20-of-32 passing for 197 yards with no touchdowns and one pick.
The Ravens figure to try to establish the run with Devonta Freeman, who ran for 72 yards last week. The Steelers rank 31st among the league’s 32 teams in rushing yards allowed.
Expect the Steelers to give every chance to outside linebacker T.J. Watt to get to Huntley. Watt has 21 sacks, 1 ½ away from the NFL record set by Hall of Famer Michael Strahan in 2001.
Watt took down Jackson 3 ½ times in the first meeting this year.
Steelers Bets We Like
Ravens -5 (-110) Barstool Sports
Yes, it’s hard to recommend laying points with a team on a five-game streak. However, the Steelers have fallen behind by 17, 38, 29, and 30 points in their last four road games.
Devonta Freeman to score a touchdown (+155) BetMGM
The veteran running back has enjoyed a resurgence after being limited to five games in 2020 with the New York Giants. With the Ravens likely to establish the running game, Freeman has a good chance to reach the end zone.

It might seem incomprehensible for a team with playoff aspirations to suffer a letdown in the final game of the season. However, it’s hard to see the Steelers raising their intensity level to the same height as Monday night.
