It wasn’t designed to be a question that stumped Pittsburgh Penguins coach Mike Sullivan following practice Monday at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.

It did seem to make him stop and think, however.

“Umm,” he said, then paused. “It’s a tough question to answer.”

Sullivan then launched into a series of thoughts that delved into his hockey philosophy.
