Penguins Postgame: More Losing, Sullivan & Crosby Questions

OTTAWA, Ontario — Should the Pittsburgh Penguins just tank? What’s up with Sidney Crosby’s slump and coach Mike Sullivan’s future?

Following the Penguins’ tepid 2-1 overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre, PHN readers had some thoughts.

More than a few submissions via X detailed a desire to see the Penguins tank for a better draft pick in June, though PHN’s Dan Kingerski cautioned the Penguins don’t necessarily have a first-round pick. They do owe the San Jose Sharks a first-rounder this year or next.

Also, as Kingerski noted, “Imagine walking into the Penguins locker room and telling Sidney Crosby to lose.”

The PHN editor-in-chief detailed some of the worst performances with specific details from the loss to Ottawa. Feelings were not spared, and coach Mike Sullivan received a healthy dose of criticism, as well.
