Backchecking the Penguins: October 5th

 

Greg McKegg looked great last night.  With just over 15 minutes on the ice last night, he made the most of it.  Greg McKegg won 76% of his face-offs.  He faced 17 face-offs, winning 13 and loosing only 4, WOW!  Greg McKegg was credited with 1 assist as well.  For the penalty killing shifts he was paired with Carl Hagelin.  The defensive paring was Matt Hunwick and Ian Cole.

 

– Sidney Crosby was 3rd star of the game.  He had 1 goal in 3rd period and an assist on a goal by Justin Shultz in the 1st period.

 

– Its Mario “Le Magnifique” Lemieux’s birthday!

Todays game against the Blackhawks starts at 8:30.  Here are the projected lines:

Guentzel – Crosby – Sheary

Rust – Malkin – Kessel

Hagelin – McKegg – Kuhnhackl

Wilson – Rowney – Reaves

The defensive pairings are projected to look like this:

Dumoulin – Letang

Matt – Shultz

Hunwhick – Cole

In goal is Matt Murry backed up by Antti Niemi.
