Pittsburgh Penguins QR Opponent Carey Price

Call it a hunch or a funny feeling. We could feel Carey Price’s reticence towards the NHL return. On Monday, NHL analyst Pierre McGuire teased what could be a bombshell on the NHL return. Appearing on 93-7 the Fan, which is the same station you’ll often hear this writer, McGuire said he believes the Pittsburgh Penguins may not face Carey Price, who may decline to play and is slightly leaning that way. Also in the daily links, today could be the day we get the answers on the hub cities, and what is Sam Reinhart’s worth in Buffalo?

Pens fans love to hate McGuire, and he can come off as the kid in the front of the class who raises his hand to answer every question, but he also knows more about hockey than almost any human on earth. And he’s very well connected, especially to a story like Carey Price.

There is some good news regarding the NHL and COVID-19. There have been 26 players test positive, but only four since June 19 when the NHL announced 11 players tested positive (Pittsburgh Hockey Now)

The longer this delay drags on, the less likely Las Vegas keeps the hub city. It REALLY could be Edmonton and Toronto.

The Buffalo Sabres have made a few changes lately; only the GM, and the entire scouting staff. They do have a decision to make on Sam Reinhart (NHL.com)
