Pens-Vegas Game Day! Penguins Lines, Pairs & Goalies

It’s game day again (finally). After a four day break, the Pittsburgh Penguins are back on the ice as they host the Vegas Golden Knights. The Penguins lines are likely set based on the week of practices and line rushes.

Juuso Riikola, 24, will make his first NHL start. Riikola was the darling of the preseason. His speed and physicality caught everyone by surprise, except the Penguins scouts. Casey DeSmith will start in goal and Tristan Jarry will be the backup.

The Penguins are hoping to bounce back from an embarrassing 5-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens, Saturday at PPG Paints Arena. Riley Sheahan scored the only Penguins goal in the loss. Kris Letang and Daniel Sprong earned assists. With the assist, Letang became the Penguins all-time leader in points by a defenseman (441).
