Pascal Dupuis Sidney Crosby Pittsburgh Penguins

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Everyone who has followed the Pittsburgh Penguins for several years likely had an idea that star center and team captain Sidney Crosby thoroughly enjoyed having Pascal Dupuis and Chris Kuntiz as his regular wingers for a stretch of several seasons.

Friday, at the start of training camp, Crosby grabbed an opening to construct an ode to Dupuis, who is now retired and working in broadcasting in Canada. Dupuis added speed to Crosby’s line, as well as defensive play.

After practicing and scrimmaging with two offensive-minded wingers – Jake Guentzel, who has become a regular on that top line, and Daniel Sprong, a sniper who is trying to find a regular spot with the team this season – Crosby smiled and recalled the good old days with Dupuis.
