Penguins Return Alex Nylander to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned winger Alex Nylander to their American Hockey League affiliate in Wilkes-Barre.
Nylander was a healthy scratch for their 3-2 overtime loss in Nashville Tuesday night, when first-line right winger Bryan Rust returned from a three-game absence because of an unspecified lower-body injury.
Nylander, who does not have a point in three games with the Penguins this season, has five goals and three assists in 11 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
