Top 5 Storylines for Penguins Development Camp & Why They Matter | PHN+

It begins Saturday. Hockey. The Pittsburgh Penguins Development Camp for the youngsters under 25-years-old who have not yet cracked the NHL lineup and recent draft picks will have a chance to make a first impression. There will also be a couple of undrafted hopefuls attempting to earn a contract. The Penguins hockey season begins on Saturday at the UPMC Lemieux Complex.



And yes, I’m excited.

The Pittsburgh Penguins also announced their training camp would begin on Sept. 23, but we’ve already begun the analysis and look ahead to that event. Instead, this weekend, the Penguins’ thin but interesting prospect corps will hit the ice, and we’ll get our first in-person look at top prospects Sam Poulin and Nathan Legare in over a year.

There are a few others we want to put eyeballs on, too.

2021 second-round pick Tristan Broz is attending the University of Minnesota and will not be in attendance.
