It is final confirmation that Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman John Marino is banged up. On Tuesday afternoon, the Penguins placed Marino on IR retroactive to March 7. The Penguins also made a few corresponding roster moves in advance of the Penguins game Tuesday night against the Boston Bruins, according to GM Ron Hextall.

Marino and Jared McCann skated on Tuesday morning. Head coach Mike Sullivan said Marino was a game-time decision.

Penguins forward Jared McCann also skated Tuesday morning and is also a game-time decision.

The Penguins recalled forward Frederick Gaudreau from the taxi squad, and forward Radim Zohorna has been re-assigned to the taxi squad from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
