The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled Radim Zohorna from their farm team in Wilkes-Barre to fill the spot opened when Jansen Harkins was put on waivers Thursday.

Harkins, who did not practice with the Penguins Friday, has cleared waivers and been assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Zohorna made a strong bid for a spot on the major-league roster during training camp, but does not have a point in two American Hockey League games this season.

Harkins, who was acquired from Winnipeg on waivers Oct. 2, does not have a point in four games with the Penguins, and recorded a minus-1 plus-minus rating while averaging a team-low nine minutes, 28 seconds of ice time.

He was used primarily at right wing on the third line and was credited with one shot block, four shots on goal and four hits, good for a share of a five-way tie for fifth place on the team.
