Dan’s Daily: Dubas Investigation, Rethinking Penguins Goalies
It does not seem the Pittsburgh Penguins will name a GM this weekend. However, the NHLPA is investigating candidate Kyle Dubas’s agent for a conflict of interest. There are a few more details on it. The NHL Stanley Cup playoffs might be showing a new way forward on signing goaltenders; as such, should the Penguins step away from considering a big contract for Tristan Jarry? A lot of teams wanted Matthew Tkachuk, and he willed Florida into the Stanley Cup final.
With any luck, I’ll get my first motorcycle ride today. I bring that up to remind you to take your eyes off your phone, give bikes just a little more room, and double-check before zipping through intersections. Hey, I’m a great-looking guy (not really), but I don’t think I’d be too pretty as a hood ornament.
I’m thinking lunch at Happy Cow BBQ in Tionesta or meatloaf and a beer at Lucky’s in Marienville. Wellsboro, with my favorite old hotel and little diner, will have to wait. I’m always on the lookout for cool little towns. So if you’ve got a little stop, I’d love to have them!
