Matt Nieto Undergoes Knee Surgery, Will Miss 6-8 Weeks
Pittsburgh Penguins blue-collar winger Matt Nieto has undergone laparoscopic surgery on his right knee and is expected to sidelined for 6-8 weeks.
Nieto, 31, has one goal and three assists in 22 games this season.
The Penguins signed him as a free agent last July.
Dr. Dharmash Vyas, the Penguins’ head team physician performed the operation at UPMC’s St. Margaret Harmar Outpatient Center.
