CRANBERRY  — P.O Joseph, fresh off a practice, scrimmage, and conditioning session Saturday during Pittsburgh Penguins training camp, let out several huge grins during an interview with PHN.

Apparently, the 23-year-old defenseman, who is at perhaps an early crossroads of his career, isn’t feeling the pressure or isn’t showing it.

“I wouldn’t say desperation,” Joseph said at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. “I just want to be here. It’s who’s going to want it more, and this year I really want it.”

Taking it might not be easy, given the glut of NHL-caliber defensemen in camp.

But this would seem to be the year Joseph is expected to stick.
