Penguins Postgame: High-Speed Wingers, High-Scoring Stars in 6-2 Win

Published

Second verse, same as the first. The Pittsburgh Penguins won their second consecutive game by a 6-2 score. They raced past the Tampa Bay Lightning at PPG Paints Arena Saturday and are 2-0-0 this season.

Sidney Crosby again had three points (1-2-3), and Jake Guentzel again notched two (1-1-2). The Penguins’ top line accounted for a pair of even-strength goals, but so did their third line, with Danton Heinen and Jeff Carter lighting the lamp.

Yet it was Evgeni Malkin and his wingers, Bryan Rust and Jason Zucker, who seemed to steal the show with an endless string of takeaways and offensive chances.
