Seahawks-Steelers Betting Preview: Odds, Predictions & Promos

steelers bets

The Pittsburgh Steelers will attempt to build momentum when they host the Seattle Seahawks at 8:20 p.m. Sunday at Heinz Field. Steelers bets moved fast this week, but there’s value.

The PHN Steelers bets preview is 3-2 this season, so here goes win No. 4:

The Steelers (2-3) ended a three-game losing streak last week with a 27-19 victory over the Denver Broncos. Now they will try to win back-to-back games for the first time this season.

The Seahawks (2-3) will be playing with quarterback Russell Wilson, who injured his right middle finger in last week’s 26-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams and underwent surgery. He has started every game for Seattle since Week 1 of his rookie season in 2012.

The teams last met in Week 2 of the 2019 season at Heinz Field and the Seahawks posted a 28-26 win. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left that game at halftime with a season-ending elbow injury.

Here are the lines for Seahawks-Steelers at Draft Kings Sportsbook:

Spread: Seahawks +5.5 (-110), Steelers -5.5 (-110)

Moneyline: Seahawks +190, Steelers -235

Over/Under: 42.5 O (-110), U (-110)

Seahawks – Steelers Betting Preview

The Steelers offense finally got untracked last week when rookie running back Najee Harris was sprung free by an inexperienced offensive line for his first 100-yard rushing game.

He finished with 122 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries. It could have been even better if he had not been effective by cramping in the fourth quarter.

The Steelers are still 31st among the 32 NFL teams in rushing offense. Yet, it was at least a step forward.

Roethlisberger had a solid game that seemed to quiet his critics a bit. He completed 15 of 25 passes for 253 yards and two TDs with no interceptions.

The Steelers could build on that performance this week. The Seahawks are last in the league in total defense and have matched an NFL record by allowing at least 450 total yards in four consecutive games.

With Wilson ailing, the Seahawks will turn to Geno Smith at quarterback. The former WVU star will be making his first NFL start since 2017.

Smith looked sharp at times after taking over for Wilson against the Rams, going 10-of-17 passing for 131 yards and a score. However, he also threw an interception that killed the Seahawks’ chance of rallying for a victory.

The Seahawks – Steelers Bets We Like

Seahawks +190 (DraftKings)

I’m not usually a proponent of betting the moneyline and lost last week when I went with the Broncos. However, the Seahawks are tempting at this price.

While the Steelers played better last week, they need to back it up with another good performance. The Seahawks have their issues but do hold a 10-9 lead in the all-time series and have a gamebreaker in wide receiver DK Metcalf.

Najee Harris to score a TD (-180 FanDuel)

Harris finally found traction as a runner last week. Look for the Steelers to give him another heavy dose of rushing attempts – if he can stay hydrated.

Against the porous Seahawks defense, Harris should find the end zone at least once.

I jumped off the Steelers’ bandwagon last week and got burned. However, I am not ready to jump back out and I think the Steelers are ripe to be upset even with the Seahawks missing Wilson.
