PHN Extra: Crosby, Letang ‘There’s One Recipe to Win’
Fresh from his All-Star Game MVP performance, Pittsburgh Penguins center, captain, all-time great Sidney Crosby shifted his focus to the stretch run, Monday morning. The playoff push has already begun despite the calendar page which shows it is only January and it has the Penguins attention.
The top four teams in the Metropolitan Division are separated by only five points. The Penguins are the fourth team in that parade but only four points in front of the Buffalo Sabres for the final playoff position in the Eastern Conference. They’re also just four points in front of the Carolina Hurricanes, but the Penguins have two games in hand.
It’s not fair to say the Penguins looked past some parts of the season, but what comes next has their attention.
