Molinari: Here’s Why Sidney Crosby Shouldn’t Be an NHL All-Star (+)

Pittsburgh Penguins, Penguins playoff race, Sidney Crosby celebrates comeback win

Sidney Crosby has been, by far, the Pittsburgh Penguins’ best player this season.

Anyone who feels otherwise likely is a blood relative (or, at least, the blindly loyal agent) of one of his teammates.

Crosby was, by any measure, completely worthy of being selected to participate in the NHL’s All-Star event during the coming weekend in Toronto.

He remains among the league’s finest 200-foot players, has taken — and won — more faceoffs than any other NHL player this season and rarely seems to have an off-shift, let alone a bad game.

It’s all pretty remarkable, especially for a guy who’s 36 years old and in his 19th pro season.
