Penguins Speak after AZ Win: Kapanen ‘I Don’t How to Celebrate,’ Malkin ‘Beast Mode’ (+)

Instead of a Pittsburgh Penguins report card, I thought you may enjoy a look at the full postgame comments after the Penguins pulled away for a 4-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes at Gila River Arena. After the win, the Penguins were more insightful. And more fun.
The report card would feature far too many A’s, anyway. Kasperi Kapanen and Evgeni Malkin had great games. Malkin had one goal and eight shots in 17 minutes of ice time.
Kapanen was his best self, finally. After not scoring since Jan. 23, Kapanen scored and had five shots on goal.
It was both a telling night and a good night for the Penguins, who didn’t score their second goal until after their 40th shot on goal.
For Big Jeff Carter fans, Kasperi Kapanen couldn’t say enough good things, and Kapanen’s words highlighted Carter’s leadership with the young winger.
