Pittsburgh Penguins, Penguins prospects

CRANBERRY — The weeklong integration of the Pittsburgh Penguins prospects into the UPMC Lemieux facility and the ways of the Penguins is complete. For many of the prospects, it was an introduction to the Penguins organization. A few new faces, such as Jack St. Ivany, and maturing prospects donned the crest of the flightless bird for the first time, and a few others want to prove they are ready for the next step.

The march of the Penguins’ prospects began here.

Unfortunately, we didn’t look at a couple of the 2022 NHL draft picks, notably first-rounder Owen Pickering and sixth-rounder Nolan Collins, whom some are circling as a sixth-round steal.

A few players made a little noise in the camp, and a few seemed to shrink from previous PHN scouting reports, including one on our “watch list” in July.
